Coach Jess Simpson Expected to Move to Miami

Rumor has it that assistant coach of the Atlanta Falcons, Jess Simpson, is now planning to head south to the University of Miami for a defensive line coaching position. Being one of the most successful head coaches in recent high school history, who led Buford to 12 state titles, winning 7, and a 164-12 record, things are looking hopeful for Miami.  Led by former UGA head coach Mark Richt, Miami went to a 10-3 record last year and made it to the Orange Bowl. With Simpson’s previous winning records, it definitely seems like a smart decision to recruit Simpson to join the Hurricane’s squad. According to, the Hurricanes currently have 9 defensive linemen who have scholarships. With Simpson at defensive linemen coach and 9 quality defensive linemen, it is safe to say that Miami’s defensive front is in good hands.
