Rumor has it that assistant coach of the Atlanta Falcons, Jess Simpson, is now planning to head south to the University of Miami for a defensive line coaching position. Being one of the most successful head coaches in recent high school history, who led Buford to 12 state titles, winning 7, and a 164-12 record, things are looking hopeful for Miami. Led by former UGA head coach Mark Richt, Miami went to a 10-3 record last year and made it to the Orange Bowl. With Simpson’s previous winning records, it definitely seems like a smart decision to recruit Simpson to join the Hurricane’s squad. According to 247sports.com, the Hurricanes currently have 9 defensive linemen who have scholarships. With Simpson at defensive linemen coach and 9 quality defensive linemen, it is safe to say that Miami’s defensive front is in good hands.
