Who runs the world??? Blue!!!
Nothing cuter right now than little Blue Ivy Carter, bidding with Mommy & Daddy in her golden bob-cut hairstyle and “wearable art” outfit, at the 2nd Annual Wearable Art Gala in Los Angeles, CA this past weekend.
The 6 year old child icon got into a bidding battle on Sunday with film writer and producer, Tyler Perry, who ended up outbidding her $19K offer, for a painting of actor Sydney Poitier. Daddy Jay-Z, seemed to take the typical funding-father approach, jokingly lowering her bidding paddle as she attempted to show Mr. Perry who was boss! She didn’t win that piece but she did take home a $10K mosaic of deconstructed medical and law books. She was determined to be a buyer, and auctioneer/TV personality, Star Jones, couldn’t get enough of this mini diva;
“Y’all made me come from behind the podium, because Blue was out there bidding!”
This little one is such a natural at living her best life, and we just love seeing the Carter’s out enjoying family time, making a statement for black excellence and high-class living.
Speaking of high-class living, there are so many simple ways to create an epic, upscale experience for the family, especially when including the little ones. Activities like art auctions, high-tea, golfing or even simply visiting a museum can broaden their perspectives and unlock so many hidden passions and talents that they may not know they have.
For instance, high-tea was something that started many years ago, highlighting the afternoon with hot tea and miniature meal-pairings and desserts for many working-class families.
High-tea was and still is considered a luxurious and classy experience that little ladies such as Blue Ivy Carter would cherish and enjoy! Dress up your baby in his or her finest attire, and hit the town for tea & bites!
It’s important that we as the adults, take responsibility in molding the mindsets of our children and future leaders. Exposing our children to upscale living and high-class experiences is valuable in molding that mindest for success. Planting these little seeds in their huge imaginations gives them so much fuel and inspiration to dream big!
