Ever wondered how 47-year-old Kelly Ripa gets those killer biceps? She swaps her stilettos for tennis shoes and hits the dance club. However, Ripa’s version of a dance club isn’t your ordinary club. It’s a club with 56 bright yellow stationary bikes, motivational phrases all throughout the candlelit room and loud dance music to get the class ready to sweat.
SoulCycle is a 45 minute luxury exercise class that trades out the traditional cycle class for a true mind, body and soul workout experience.
The New York City cycling phenomenon has made its way to the south. Georgia’s first SoulCycle made its grand opening May 19 at 3400 Lenox Road in Atlanta’s affluent neighborhood-Buckhead.
The Buckhead location features a stylish lifestyle boutique with SoulCycle’s name brand athletic wear. Styles range from men and women’s clothing, accessories and even athletic clothes for kids.
Atlanta’s location, like all other SoulCycle locations, bring about a nightclub vibe with dim lights and bumping music.
SoulCycle even has its own Spotify playlist for anyone who wants to keep the party going out of the studio.
In one class cyclers can burn up to 500-700 calories. Not only does it work the leg and glute muscles, but intense arm and core workouts are done with free weights to tone up the entire body.
Trained fitness coaches direct each class and push every cyclist to their fullest potential by pushing them to their limit.
First timers pay $20 for a class and $30 for anytime after. Packages for multiple classes are also available.
