My Uninformed Response to the “Bendy and the Ink Machine Chapter 4” trailer

There are spoilers below.

Today, I am going to give my thoughts and predictions on the “Bendy and the Ink Machine Part 4” trailer. Sure, I have only played the first part and watched YouTubers play the other two parts, but if other people can give trailer predictions and get attention, then so can I.

For those who are uninformed, “Bendy and the Ink Machine” is a five-chapter video game series released by chapter by YouTuber, theMeatly, starting last year. The story is still evolving, but here’s what we’ve got so far.

When he receives a letter from his old friend and fellow animator Joey Drew after 30 years, Henry returns to his old and now abandoned animation studio to meet his friend and discover the “something special” that Drew referenced in his letter. Unfortunately, when he gets there, he finds his friend is nowhere to be seen and that, through some sort of satanic ritual, their cartoon character Bendy the Demon has been brought to life. Now, Henry must rely on his wits to figure out what’s happening and survive Bendy and his minions.

To summarize the story so far, Henry has survived Bendy, the minions, and everyone else he has encountered so far but has not made much progress in figuring out what’s going on. Or, at least, it doesn’t seem like he has. Two of the game’s appeals are the evolving storyline and the fan theories that try to explain every clue theMeatly gives in-game.

Now, without further ado, despite my lack of knowledge pertaining to these fan theories, I shall give an educated guess on what will happen in part four. Again, there are spoilers from the previous chapters in my analysis, so you have been warned.

In the trailer, Henry is wandering around another part of the studio we haven’t seen before. Alice Angel, cartoon character and enemy from the previous chapter, asks Henry if he has lost something and walks around looking all scary. Then, Henry tells Boris the Wolf, another cartoon character and ally from the previous chapter that he is coming for him.
It can be assumed that Alice has kidnapped Boris to extract his ink or to do other evil things, and now, Henry is going on a rescue mission. I predict that Henry will do that, defeat Alice Angel, and maybe find more clues to explain what’s going on before the plot becomes as convoluted and ambiguous as “Five Nights at Freddy’s.”

Specifically, I predict that Henry might find out how Bendy, Alice, and Boris came to life from being cartoon characters. There are fan theories circulating that the cartoon characters are formed from human sacrifices of people who previously worked at the studio. The fact that Alice has the same voice as her voice actress in the cartoons backs up this theory. Although if that’s the case, it doesn’t quite explain why neither Bendy nor Boris has spoken yet.

The next chapter will be released on April 28. The game only has five chapters, and at chapter three, we still don’t have many ideas about what’s happening, so I hope theMeatly explains what’s happening soon or this game really might go the route of “Five Nights at Freddy’s.”

Feel free to discuss your own fan theories below.
