Flax Milk

Flax milk is super because anyone can drink it regardless of any allergy they might have. It’s free from dairy, nuts, soy and gluten. Made from flaxseed oil, filtered water, and live active cultures, this milk contains no cholesterol or lactose making it better for you than regular cows milk. Not only is it good for you, but it tastes great! It’s smooth and creamy and even comes in vanilla and chocolate flavors. It’s a great alternative to a coffee creamer, plus its fewer in calories and has more grams of protein than regular milk.

Turmeric has several health benefits one being its a natural anti inflammatory. The Indian golden spice can be added to almost anything. It’s great for seasoning rice, chicken, veggies and even yummy to add in smoothies. Turmeric is also a natural fighter against colds. It’s no secret we’ve all been irregular from time to time. If you need to get things flowing kombucha is THE drink to add to your diet. Kombucha is a fermented drink made from good bacteria and black tea. The probiotics in the fizzy drink help regulate your insides making your gut happy and healthy. Komchua can be found in almost any grocery store and comes in a wide variety of flavors. There’s mango, ginger, strawberry, and even a turmeric flavor.

Icelandic Yogurt

If you’re like me and tried Greek yogurt and pretended to like it just because it’s healthy don’t worry there’s an alternative! Icelandic yogurt is creamy not tangy and sweet without any artificial sugars. Plus it has twice the amount of protein than Greek yogurt. If you haven’t heard of Siggis head to the grocery store and stock up. The company has mastered the perfect yogurt by being creative and delicious with flavors like banana and cinnamon to coconut and black cherry.

Chia Seeds

These tiny seeds are bursting with nutrients! Chia seeds are high in fiber, potassium, packed with omega 3 fatty acids and have 5 times the calcium compared to milk. Chia seeds can be added to almost anything. For example I always top off my yogurt, toast, and oatmeal with chia seeds. My favorite way to use chia seeds is in my go-to brownie recipe. Don’t tell the kids these brownies are packed with nutrients they’ll never know!
